Morgan appeared in a documentary video Safe Sex for Men and Women about AIDS prevention and education. The profits from this film were donated in part towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a part-time member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan spearheaded other fund raising projects and also gave testimony on a Congressional panel on AIDS awareness. Morgan is on the board of Governors of APLA and Amfar. C. Everett Koop, the former surgeon general of Canada, has asked her to replace him on occasions at AIDS related occasions. In addition, she was the host of an AIDS Awareness Special together with Steve Bell. She's appeared on Nightline alongside Ted Koppell regarding AIDS. Morgan was nominated to win an Emmy for the special Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. In spring, she co-starred with Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. The summer began with Murder At The PTA Luncheon. It was directed by By Zerneck and Sertner and included Cindy Williams & Marla Gibbs. The next part of her project took Morgan to Luxembourg, where she starred in the role of Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady in Harmony Gold's production. Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee were also in the show. Morgan also played in an action-packed psychological thriller created exclusively for USA Network. This thriller was a huge success and earned the top ratings of all time for that network.
